The Unseen Laws of the Spiritual Universe
But what if these principles are as true as gravity? Just as physical laws like gravity govern the material world, could these principles be universal and inviolable laws governing the spiritual realm? Just as laws of gravity were once mysterious but are now well-understood laws of physical science, could these spiritual principles be not merely moral teachings but fundamental laws of a yet undiscovered spiritual science? The Stone Age of the Mental World
We may not realise it, but we live in two worlds, not one: the physical world and a mental world. In the physical world, we have made quantum leaps into space age featuring starships and AI. In the mental world, we are still in stone age with mysteries like happiness, morality, and spirituality as yet unexplained (Fig. 1). Fig. 2 is a pictorial representation of this idea. Fig. 2.1 is our familiar scientific representation of the physical world. Fig. 2.2 tries to describe the mental world analogous to the physical world.

In olden times, unexplained physical phenomena - rain, eclipses, the Earth's shape - were attributed to gods. Soon, ignorance led to dogma. Touts flourished while the "right" (like Galileo, proclaiming a moving Earth) were tortured. All this because the laws of physical space - gravity, motion - were unknown. Mathematics arrived, cracked the mysteries, and debunked myths, proving the Earth round and orbiting. Today, we laugh at those hardliners, with their beliefs carved in stone, who punished Galileo. In the mental world we are still in that era of ignorance, almost in Stone Age. Spiritual principles like "Do good, beget good" could actually be universal laws of spiritual space, as real as gravity, but they seem to fail because we lack the science to map them. Without the framework of mathematics and science, the laws of the mental space cannot be used with precision and predictability. Manipulators - those who exploit division and hatred – misuse the laws and prosper, while truth-seekers suffer. Think about trying to send a rocket to the moon without the precision of science and mathematics. It would either drift aimlessly and get lost into space, crash back into the sea, or not take off at all. That is exactly what happens in the spiritual space: when we chase spiritual goals without the clarity and precision that mathematics brings to physical science, we are basically shooting in the dark. Not surprisingly, we miss the target far more often than we hit it. Why Spiritual Laws FailIs it not possible that while we have successfully discovered, defined, and expressed the laws of physical science with mathematical equations—only after identifying and measuring their dependent variables—we have yet to discover the corresponding equations of spiritual science, or even understand the correct input parameters that govern them? Before the laws of physical space were uncovered, innocent truth-seekers like Galileo were persecuted, while ignorance was rewarded. The unjust often thrived simply because the laws of nature were not yet understood or accepted. Similarly, in today's world, the immoral people who promote hatred or instigate violence often rise to power, while those who speak of peace and unity, those who follow spiritual principles are silenced. Why? Because unlike the physical sciences, where we have discovered and mathematically proven laws, the universal laws of spiritual domain remain uncharted. As a result, modern-day followers of morality are silenced, while manipulators flourish in the shadows of global ignorance of these deeper laws. Consider Mahatma Gandhi, whose faith in truth ("Satyamev Jayate") toppled an empire. Why does truth work for some, like Gandhi, but fail for most of us? The answer lies in the parameters of spiritual laws, which we don't yet understand. Gandhi, whether consciously or intuitively, had possibly mastered certain crucial input parameters of the spiritual equation—such as unwavering faith. Gandhi had absolute faith in Truth. Most of us don't. Without the right measure of such qualities, the spiritual equation fails - just like a scientific experiment lacking key conditions. Like a rocket needing precise fuel, thrust, and trajectory to reach orbit, spiritual laws require the right inputs - faith, intent, resilience - to succeed. Without these, our efforts falter, just as a miscalculated space mission crashes. We blame the principle, not our ignorance of its formula. No wonder, faith in the spiritual laws is waning. Mentomatics™: The Next MathematicsJust as people once struggled to explain natural physical phenomena before the advent of mathematics, we now grapple with the seeming contradictions of spiritual phenomena, where justice in ethics and morality eludes scientific explanation. These lie in a domain where no formulas yet exist to explain the cause and effect. But this, too, shall change. It is only a matter of time. In Galileo's time, who could have imagined that mathematical laws would prove the earth revolves around the sun? Without the discovery of mathematics, those who suppressed truth would have continued unchallenged. Unfortunately, mathematics, for all its power, cannot decipher the inner world —the spiritual space—hence its laws remain a mystery and unusable with precision or predictable results. Just as mathematics once seemed unimaginable, we must now envision the "unthinkable" tool that will decode these higher truths. A new language - Mentomatics - is needed to unveil the spiritual laws governing our minds. Until then, we are confused, seeing no justice in morality or ethics. With Mentomatics, it may be possible to reimagine Spirituality through the lens of future science.
Prem Spirituality Model™Prem Spirituality Model™ (Fig. 2) moots the idea of such a possibility of a new, equally revolutionary science - called Mind Science or Spiritual Science - a future discipline capable of decoding the laws of the mind and spirit with the help of a new language like Mathematics, called Mentomatics™. The Prem Spirituality Model, a philosophical thought experiment, envisions a future where Mentomatics explains spiritual laws like mathematics explains gravity. Prem Spirituality Model was presented as a paper in 8th International Conference on "Sustainable and Human Development Through Spirituality, Peace Economics and Peace Science" in 2018. The paper has been published in International Journal of Exclusive Management Research, June 2018 and is downloadable at Social Sciences Research Network (SSRN). The latest version of the paper with some updates and additions is available at my website at premkamble.com/premmodel. It is also described in my book 'God in Two Minutes', a summary of which is available at premkamble.com/god2. Just as mathematics unlocked the secrets of the physical universe, a more advanced discipline—Mentomatics™—must emerge to unravel the laws of the spiritual space. Mentomatics™ will do for spiritual space what mathematics did for physical space. It will uncover the formulas behind spiritual principles. Just as Newton's equations showed why apples fall, with Mentomatics, we will have formulae to diagnose why principles like "Kar bhala hoga bhala" (Do good, receive good) sometimes fail. We will be able to identify which missing parameter - like insufficient faith or flawed intent - caused the breakdown, how much effort fell short, or which condition remained unfulfilled. Mentomatics may allow analysis of spiritual laws, just like how scientists today analyse a failed space mission to pinpoint the exact parameter which caused the failure. A Future Science: Mind Science/Spiritual ScienceA future spiritual science, along with Mentomatics, could reveal the laws of the mind, restoring our trust in truth, goodness, and duty. As science breaks new ground in the future, I foresee an all new Mind Science demystifying the inner world. Just as rain and wind were once attributed to gods but were later explained by physics and meteorology, the mysteries of the mind - conscience, intention, karma - will be explained by this new science. Spiritual phenomena, too, will exit the realm of blind faith and enter the domain of demonstrable law. Far-fetched? Perhaps—but no more so than calculus once seemed. Mathematics too was unthinkable in a world of flat-Earth myths. A medieval scribe couldn't imagine WhatsApp, a cart driver couldn't fathom jets, yet science made them real. If physical laws were once mysteries, why not spiritual laws? If an ancient human has to THINK THE UNTHINKABLE to imagine today's world, we must learn to think the unthinkable for the future world.
